Bob Nicholson
Alternate Governor
Bob is Chairman of the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club and is responsible for hockey operations of the Oilers, Edmonton Oil Kings and Bakersfield Condors. Nicholson was hired by the Katz Group on June 13, 2014, as Vice Chair of Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG). In addition to his Vice Chair duties, Bob served as Chief Executive Officer of OEG from 2016 – 2019. Prior to that, Mr. Nicholson was president and chief executive officer of Hockey Canada from 1998 to 2014. During his tenure as president of Hockey Canada, national teams won 71 medals in international competitions, including 44 gold medals, seven Olympic gold medals, 12 world junior titles, five men’s world championships and 10 women’s world championships.
