Leadership and corporate changes position OEGSE for its next decade of growth
EDMONTON, AB (August 5, 2026) - OEG Sports & Entertainment (OEGSE) today announced that accomplished sports executive Hugh Weber has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective August 15, 2026.
Weber will lead OEGSE’s integrated sports, entertainment and real estate businesses, including the Edmonton Oilers, Bakersfield Condors, Edmonton Oil Kings, Rogers Place, ICE District, live entertainment and event operations, media and content, and the continued development of ICE District.
The appointment is part of a series of leadership and corporate changes that position OEGSE to pursue its next phase of growth, strengthen alignment and governance, and build on the success of the past decade.

Weber brings more than 25 years of senior leadership experience across professional sports, entertainment, venues, and major development initiatives. He previously served as President of Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, whose portfolio included the Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center. Most recently, he served as President of Seattle Sounders FC and Seattle Reign FC.

As part of the changes, OEG Inc. will transition to DAK Holdings Corp., the parent holding company of OEGSE, TS Retail Enterprises and OEG Hospitality. DAK Capital will remain separate as the Katz family office and investment platform. Brad Gilewich will serve as President of DAK Holdings while continuing as President of DAK Capital.
Jürgen Schreiber will conclude his tenure as CEO of OEGSE and become Executive Chairman of TS Retail Enterprises. He will also continue to support select strategic initiatives, including the Edmonton Event Park project, and will work closely with Weber to ensure a seamless transition.
